# repose > A persistent NixOS machine per project where coding agents keep working after your laptop closes. These pages describe the latest release of the `repose` CLI; `repose --version` prints the one installed, and on a repose machine `~/.repose/cli-version` holds the version on the user's laptop. ## Start here - [Quickstart](https://repose.herakraft.co/docs/index.md): Install the CLI, start a machine for your project and hand a task to an agent. - [Install](https://repose.herakraft.co/docs/install.md): Install the CLI, log in, update and uninstall. ## Using repose - [Run and attach](https://repose.herakraft.co/docs/run-and-attach.md): Start agents, move around the tmux session or herdr, get back to it later, and connect with SSH or an editor. - [SSH and editors](https://repose.herakraft.co/docs/ssh-and-editors.md): Reach every project with ssh, scp, rsync and git, and open it in VS Code, Cursor, Zed or JetBrains Gateway. - [Sync](https://repose.herakraft.co/docs/sync.md): When your checkout is copied to the machine, what travels, what stays behind, and how work comes back. - [The machine](https://repose.herakraft.co/docs/machine.md): What's installed, installing more, your laptop's tools, ports, the browser, memory and disk. - [Installing software](https://repose.herakraft.co/docs/config.md): Add packages and services to a project with repose config, so they're there on every rebuild, from the CLI, the dashboard or Nix. - [Secrets and security](https://repose.herakraft.co/docs/secrets.md): API keys, tool logins and git settings, where each one lives, and what can reach what. - [Lend the agents your Chrome](https://repose.herakraft.co/docs/your-chrome.md): Let the agents on a machine use your laptop's Chrome, with your logins and extensions, for as long as you keep the bridge open, and keep them to the sites you name. - [Agents](https://repose.herakraft.co/docs/agents.md): The five agents on every machine, how each logs in, and how to let them run without asking. - [Notifications](https://repose.herakraft.co/docs/notifications.md): Get told by email, on your phone or in Google Chat when an agent is done, needs you, or asks you something, and answer from there. - [Projects and lifecycle](https://repose.herakraft.co/docs/lifecycle.md): Check on projects, stop and start them, take and restore snapshots, destroy and bring back. ## Tutorials - [Git with repose](https://repose.herakraft.co/docs/tutorial-git.md): Where your code goes when you run repose, how the agent's commits come back, and what to do when both sides changed. - [Watch the agent's browser](https://repose.herakraft.co/docs/tutorial-watch-browser.md): See the page the agent is on, live, and take over when it needs a human. - [A git workflow for several agents](https://repose.herakraft.co/docs/tutorial-git-workflow.md): One branch per task, review on your laptop, merge what's good, throw the rest away. - [Run a swarm](https://repose.herakraft.co/docs/tutorial-conductor.md): One conductor session on the machine splits the work, launches workers in their own worktrees, merges what comes back and runs the checks. This is how repose itself was built. - [T3 Code on your machine](https://repose.herakraft.co/docs/tutorial-t3-code.md): Run T3 Code's server on the machine and drive Claude Code and Codex threads from a browser or your phone, with the laptop closed. - [herdr on your machine](https://repose.herakraft.co/docs/tutorial-herdr.md): Run a machine's terminals in herdr, watch its agents in your laptop herdr's sidebar, and get them back after a stop. ## Account - [Pricing](https://repose.herakraft.co/docs/billing.md): The three plans, what each one buys, the free week, and what happens when you change, cancel or miss a payment. - [Limits and acceptable use](https://repose.herakraft.co/docs/limits.md): What your plan allows at once, how many projects an account can have, what the network allows, and what gets a machine stopped. ## Reference - [CLI reference](https://repose.herakraft.co/docs/cli.md): Every repose command and flag, config.toml, environment variables and the files the CLI keeps. - [Troubleshooting](https://repose.herakraft.co/docs/troubleshooting.md): The errors you're most likely to see and what fixes each one.
